D-Rays Blitz Post

I'm in rural Nagano Prefecture, hooked up with wireless. Here goes. Just guts. No real analysis.

8 IP
7 hits
2 walks
1 run
11 Ks
125 pitches

Kick ass Daisuke!

Don't forget Delcarmen's AAA worthy start. Gives up more runs in his .2 innnings than Daisuke did his last two starts.

Looks like Gagne's value just went up a tad.

On the plus side, Daisuke continues to impress and might actually face a non-ace pitcher next week.

Hey, Nagano's not THAT rural - although perhaps it depends on where you are. I'd figure somewhere like Tottori, Shimane or any of the Shikoku prefectures would be more rural than Nagano.

Great game today for Dicek even thought the Sox lost. Great control! Hope his next game is better.

For God's sake, score some frigging runs for Daisuke-san! His record in quality starts is just cruel. He's 8-5-1 (ND), which is not what it should be, especially when your team is supposed to have such a high-powered offense.

The biggest problem against the D-Rays was the pitch calling when he was ahead of batters. His change up was not sharp, but for some reason, they chose to use it in several 0-2 and 1-2 counts (including the homer to Navarro). If he'd have stuck with the breaking balls and his fastball, he might have eeked out a win.
